Security Check
BT have two walk-thru metal detecting arches (one primary route, one secondary) as well as a 3D x-ray scanner for bags and luggage. The process for entry is very like that at any airport and is backed up by hand held metal detecting wands (to detect metal objects within bags or on an individual) as well as a hand held vapour tracer (which will detect any exposure to explosives).
Any items found during this check which may be considered to constitute an offensive weapon and or may be potentially harmful to the safety and security of others guests or BT Tower personnel, will be detained at the security point until the owner leaves the building at the end of the event.
Such items include any article which has a blade or is sharply pointed and which may, as an example, be used as sporting equipment or for ceremonial purposes. Examples of such items include daggers, swords or knives. These items are examples only and as such this list is not exhaustive. For further information or clarification please contact your event manager.
