UKCoD & TAG

UKCoD and TAG have for some time been working together closely on the campaign for modernised relay services and the Communications Bill.

At a recent meeting of TAG it was agreed to formalise this working relationship and as a result a special interest group, UKCoD Deaf Access to Communications (DAC), will be established under the UKCoD umbrella, specifically to continue the campaign for relay services and respond to the Review of the Communications Act. We are still finalising future plans and a further announcement will be made in the next two months. This development provides the opportunity for the sector to combine skills, energy and focus in pursuit of improved access to for deaf people. Until the process has been completed both TAG and UKCoD will continue to operate as separate organisations.
